Carl Richard Jacobi (1908-1997) was one of the best weird fiction authors of pulp’s golden age, and yet his name is rarely as glorified as Lovecraft, Howard, Smith, or even Derleth. If ever mentioned at all, Jacobi is best remembered for a single tale— “Revelations in Black.”
